He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Flanagan and Avis Williams Flanagan; his wife Lulu; and his brothers, John Flanagan and Jackie Flanagan.
He is survived by: his children, Beverly Shumaker (Ronald), Teresa Joiner, Mike Flanagan (Debbie), Stevie Flanagan (Janet) and Chris Flanagan (Shanna); and his stepson Charles Breland (Katrina). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
