With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Pigott Ray of Greenwood, Mississippi, born in Magnolia, Mississippi, who passed away on June 16, 2021 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hollis Fenner Webb, Sr. and Susie Varnado Webb; her brother Hollis Fenner Webb, Jr.; her former husband Otis Pigott; her husband Rev. Wilson Ray; and her stepdaughter Marcia McMurry.
She is survived by: her sister Sue Gautreaux; her sister-in-law Edna Webb; her children, Carol Morris (Phil) of Greenwood, Penny Russell (Steve) of Kosciusko and Sammy Pigott (Debbie) of Itta Bena; her stepsons, Franklin Ray (Kathleen), Andy Ray (Katherine) and Guy Ray (Charlot); her grandchildren, Tamie Burton (Tim), Kim Turner (Shane), Courtney Taylor (Joe), Sam Pigott (Samantha), Melissa Britt (Crump) and Blaine Russell (Christina); her great grandchildren, Brittnie Hankins (Chad), Eli Burton, Peyton Turner, Kenzie Turner, Kately Hollis Turner, Steele Taylor, Joie Beth Taylor, Hazel Pigott and Otis Pigott, IV; her stepgranddaughter Courtney Flanagan (Hunter); her great great grandchild Cohen Hankins; and her stepgranddaughter Huntlee Flanagan.
