It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean McLain of Greenwood, Mississippi, born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on May 18, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband R. A. McLain; her parents, Walter Durdin and Mary McGinnis; and her sister Mary Ann Durdin. She is survived by: her children, Tammy Carpenter (Doug), Amanda Young (Raymond), R. A. McLain Jr., Randy McLain and Vincent McLain (Joyce); and her siblings, Ileene Dickey, Walter Durdin, Bryant Durdin and James "Mike" Durdin. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
