He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack McKey, Sr. and Maude Beasley McKey; his wife Sarah Whittington McKey; his stepmother Hilda Whittington Hathaway McKey; his granddaughter Leslie Powell Henry; and his siblings, Ivey Louis McKey, Mavis McKey Foreman, Norma Jean McKey Etheridge, Clinton Morris Hathaway and Bobby Joe McKey.
He is survived by: his daughter Carolyn Rene McKey Colson; his grandsons, Jonathan, Jason Douqet and Greg McKey (Mary McKey); his great grandchildren, Dencil Powell III, Jennifer McKey Eccles and Ashley McKey Nettles; and his siblings, Peggy Hathaway Rushing Jones, Janies Hathaway of Jack McKey, JR., Jerry McKey and Terry Wayne McKey.
