She was predeceased by: her parents, Issac Ellington and Trudie Massey; her husband Arthur Phillips Sr.; and her siblings, Barney R. Smith and Artie Belle Arnold.

She is survived by: her sons, Arthur Phillips (Cheryl), Thomas Phillips (Nicole) and Paul Foreman Jr. (Teddi). She is also survived by six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
