It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fredrick Leroy Smith (Gloster, Mississippi), who passed away on June 8, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Smith and Ada Ashley Smith; his son Fredrick Leroy Smith Jr.; and his brothers, Malcolm Smith and Winfred Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Sallie Carter Smith; his children, Carol Ada Smith Selman, Linda Irene Smith Bumpus and Edward Lamar Smith (Valinda); his granddaughters, Cassie Jo Saggus, Danielle Marie Ramsey, Amber Nicole Selman-Lynn, Lisa Bumpus Samples, Lori Bumpus, Sarah Elizabeth Case and Emily Doyne Harrison; and his sister Shirley Jean Smith Williams. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
