She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Whittington and Dorothy Mae Whittington; her husband Lamar Jackson; her sisters, Hattie Bell Woodward, Barbara King and Dixie Hargon; and her grandson Rodney "Chip" Jackson Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Rodney Jackson, Mike Jackson and Brenda Jackson Ivey. She is also survived by five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
