She was predeceased by: her parents, John Smith and Annie Russell Smith; her husband L. C. Black; her sons, Glenn Dale Black and Billy Ray Black, Sr.; her granddaughter Sondra Denise Smith; and her siblings, Jasper Smith, Helen Arender and Uzzell "Smitty" Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Mary B. Wall of Forest, John Luther Black (Susan) of Pulaski and Frank Black of Pulaski; and her grandchildren, Billy Black, Jr., Ben Wall, Marcie Pinson, Brandie Wadsworth (Robert) and Mark Black. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, or to the Lingle Cemetery Association.
