She was predeceased by: her husband John Andrew Whatley, Sr.; her parents, Dalton Gordon and Cora Bailey Matthews; her grandson Ray Ferrell; her siblings, A. D. Gordon, Gene Gordan, Frank Gordan and Mildred Smith; and her daughter-in-law Debbie Whatley.
She is survived by: her children, Johnny Whatley of Florence, MS, Milton Whatley (Cindy) of Como, MS and Lajuana Ferrell of Jackson, MS; her grandchildren, Christy Culbertson of Florence, MS, Andy Whatley (Allison) of Brandon, MS, Michelle Ferrell of Jackson, MS and Brian Ferrell of Utica, MS; and her brother Raymond Gordan of Cleveland, MS. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
