She was predeceased by: her parents, Berry Holeman and Willie Mae Holeman; her daughter Nicole Blansett; and her brother Keith Holeman. She is survived by: her husband Bernardo Blansett; her children, Suzette Hawthorne (Skipper), Michelle Strickland (Billy), Bernardo Blansett, Jr. (Anna), Stephen Blansett (Amanda) and Jonathan Blansett (Teri); and her siblings, Deborah Carson (J. B.), Glenda Butler (Ray) and William Holeman (Tasha). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials in her name are suggested to St. Jude Children's Home.
