He was predeceased by: his wife Marjorie Lasater; and his parents, Jesse Lasater and Hazel Lasater of Fort Worth. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Lasater (Don Fisher), Miriam Thompson (James Thompson), Kurt Mikesell (Kathryn Pickerell) and Kevin Mikesell. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
