With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry Wayne Read of DeKalb, Mississippi, who passed away on March 14, 2022 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Chris Read; and his parents, Gordon Read and Mattie Read. He is survived by: his wife Sue Read; his children, Lisa Painter (Eddie) and Jerry W. Read, II (Jane); his grandchildren, Elisabeth Painter, Angel Barrios (Ian), Emily Rodriguez (Joe), Jerry W. Read, III, Hayden Read (Brittany) and Laken Fuller (David); his great grandchildren, Cody Painter, Lily VanTuinen, Nathan Read and Presley Rodriguez; and his brother Frankie Read. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family asks memorial donations to be made to Gideons International, in honor of Mr. Jerry.
