She was predeceased by: her husband Smith; her parents, Walter Eakes and Evie Eakes; her siblings, Irene Lenior, Erving, Daniel, J. W., Wayne and Ray Eakes; her son-in-law Charles May; and her great grandchild Brittany Cosgrove.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cathy Stewart (Jim) of Philadelphia and Sherby May of Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Lynn Thrash, Debbie Cosgrove (Greg), Kim Goss (Jonathan) and Bobby May (Tonya); her great grandchildren, Hunter Thrash, Kelsey Cosgrove, Emily Goss, Clay Goss and James May; and her siblings, Pauline Pope of Meridian, Marie Savell (Herman) of Philadelphia and Ralph Eakes of Meridian. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
