He was predeceased by: his wife Merle Pierce; his grandson Jayden Pierce; and his siblings, Alvis, Ardessa, Jessie Mae, Shorty and Vernnie.
He is survived by: his children, Bobby Pierce of Decatur, Jimmey Pierce of Decatur, Jeff Pierce (Linda) of Newton, Susan Heard of Decatur and Sheila Weems (Tim) of Decatur; his grandchildren, Brian Pierce (Devon), Skylar Graham (Trevor), Randy Jenkins, Jr. (Angela), Suzanne Divine (Russell), Robby Pierce (Ashley), Chris Loper (Angel) and Steve Loper (Ashley); and his sister Eva Jean Smith of Philadelphia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
