He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah Frances Burcham Hodum; his grandson Shane Lindsey; his parents, Arie Lee Hodum and Mary Edna Waldon Hodum; his brothers, Clinton Hodum and John Hodum; and the mother of his children Rosa Hodum.
He is survived by: his daughters, Martha Jo Carter and Mary Jane Ford; his stepchildren, Jeff Hastings (Darlene), Pernell Hastings and Lisa Trimble (Sean); his grandchildren, Angelia Huggins, Kevin Carter, Sandra Cummings (Darren), Kami Childers (Jesse), Michele Hancock (Craig) and Teresa Thrasher (Jeremy); his stepgrandchildren, Eric Hastings (Selena), Stephanie Hastings (Curtis Harris), Jeff Hastings, Jr. (Brandi), Brandy Steen, Steven Gray, Alicia Byrd, Vera Trimble and Sarah Trimble; and also, Wayne, Bonnie Lindsey, Cory and Cheyenne Lindsey. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren; 9 step great grandchildren; 17 great great grandchildren.
