She is survived by: her children, Chris Shoemake (Scarlett) of Hattiesburg, Samantha Wheat (Timothy) of Sumrall and Blue Birch of Houma, Louisiana; her mother Betty McLeod Lowery (James) of Columbia; her grandchildren, Anna Wheat of Sumrall, Elizabeth Wheat of Sumrall and Jonathan Wheat of Sumrall; and her close friend Timothy Wellman.
