She was predeceased by: her parents, Tony Portero and Ida Portero. She is survived by: her husband Joe C. Morris of Columbia; her children, Joe C. Morris, Jr. (Michelle), Lucretia Andrews (Andy) and Cynthia Herrington (Craig); her grandchildren, Matthew Herrington (Meg), Kyle Herrington (Sarah), Virginia Morris and Joseph Cullen Morris, III; her great grandchildren, Lily Herrington, Wyatt Herrington, Ben Herrington and Baby Herrington; her siblings, Duane Portero (Carolyn) and Charlie Portero (Gail); her siblings-in-law, C. H. Cook and Georgia Ann Portero; her siblings, Tony "Sonny" Portero, Mary Louise Cook and Nancy Lowery; and her brother-in-law Earl Lowery. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice Ministries, Inc. (Ridgeland, MS) or the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
