She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Thornhill and Mildred McDonald Thornhill; and her siblings, Catherine Benjamin and Tommy Glen Thornhill. She is survived by: her husband Richard Elkins of Columbia; her children, Shannon R. Cornwall of Columbia, Tina Louise Slocum of Columbia, Russell Bolin (Amanda) of Prentiss, MS, Donald Elkins (Geneva) of Denham Springs, LA and Ronald Elkins (Elise) of Prairieville, LA; and her brother Howard Earl Thornhill (Martha) of Carriere, MS. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
