It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Williams of Columbia, Mississippi, who passed away on October 25, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Lynda Tharp Williams; his parents, Rev. G. G. Williams and Mamie Williams; and his siblings, Davis Williams, Flavous Williams, Royce Williams, Darius Williams and June Clark.

He is survived by: his children, Joy Broughton (David) of Inman, SC, Darla Corley (Roger) of Pineville, LA, Steven Williams (Carol) of Baton Rouge, LA and Perry Williams (Lovenia) of Zachary, LA.; his grandchildren, Wesley Broughton, Bradley Broughton, Jordan Boone (Zack), Jonathan Broughton (McKalynne), Elizabeth Broughton, Hunter Corley (Heather), Logan Corley (Victoria), Sarah Forsythe (Trey), Grant Williams, Emily Genre (Gabe) and Christopher Williams; his great grandchildren, Lennox Corley, Lane Corley and Ella Corley; his granddaughters, Nora Corley, Naomi Genre and Olivia Boone; and his siblings, Maxine Edwards of Longview, TX and Charles Williams of Morgantown, MS..
