He was predeceased by: his son Charles William Maris, Jr.; his parents, Milo C. Maris and Susan K. Maris; and his siblings, Mary Louise Cooper and Milo Vernon Maris.
He is survived by: his wife Kitty Davis Maris; his daughters, Linda Perez (Jerry) and Margaret Terry (Chuck); his daughter-in-law Stacy White Maris; his grandchildren, Charles W. Maris, III, Katie Perez Hair, Trey Perez (Keri), Sarah Runnels (Matthew), Katherine Horlock (Adam) and Laura Terry; his great grandchildren, Amanda Hair, Bella Perez, Maia Perez, Davis, Lynlee and Mary Claire Runnels; and his sisters, Druscilla Thompson and Martha Maris.
