He was predeceased by: his daughter Brenda Long George. He is survived by: his grandsons, Sean George and Eagle Scout; his wife Martha Jones Long of Jackson, MS; his sons, Robert L. Long, Jr. (Linda) of Byram, MS and Gary A. Long (Kathy) of Clinton, MS; and his son-in-law Glen George of Jackson, MS. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimers Association.
