She was predeceased by: her parents, Issac Duet Austin and Cloise Mitchell Austin; and her brothers, Delaine Austin and Jimmy Austin. She is survived by: her husband Scottie Hal Hughes; her children, Chris Hughes of Bruce, Jeff Hughes (Patricia) of Gore Springs, Mississippi and Gloria Horton (Teleford) of Coffeeville, Mississippi; and her grandchildren, Shanna Taylor of Brookland, Arkansas, Ray Schmitz III of Coffeeville, Mississippi, Brad Hughes of New Albany and Brandon Hughes of Coffeeville, Mississippi. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
