She was predeceased by: her parents, Winfred Alvin Howell and Pamela Lee Howell of Virginia; her husband Joe Grist; her grandson Cavan Louis Grist; and her siblings, Carl Howell, Billy Howell, Bobby Howell, Wanda Brower, Martha Elizabeth Spears and Lou Nell Massey.
She is survived by: her son Nelson Louis Grist (Bethany) of Bruce; and her siblings, James Ralph Howell of Big Creek, Virginia Howell of Olive Branch and Patricia Ann Howell of Coffeeville.
