We bid farewell to James Wright of Bruce, Mississippi, born in Burnsville, Mississippi, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 30, 2025 at the age of 77. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Lee Roberts Wright and Thomas Edward Wright; his sister Susan Sartain; and his stepmother Lillie Mae Wright. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Crabb Pratt (Becky); his children, Michael Wright (Pam) of Columbus, MS, Melissa Wright Logan (Brad) of Bruce, MS, Benjamin Pratt (Savannah) of Bruce, MS and Bethany Flint (Jon) of Daleville, MS; his grandchildren, Emma Katherine Pratt of Bruce, MS, Evelyn Leigh Logan of Bruce, MS, Anna Bethany Pratt of Bruce, MS, Jasper Reed Flint of Daleville, MS, Samuel Jennings Logan of Bruce, MS, Noah Timothy Pratt of Bruce, MS and Charlotte Marie Flint of Daleville; and his siblings, Tommy Wright (Sheila) of Iuka, MS and Judy Sherrill (Sylvia York) of Iuka, MS. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bruce United Methodist Church (131 E Calhoun St, Bruce, MS 38915). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
