He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jessie Howell and Linda Rae Murphree Smith; his brother Jeff Lee Blackwelder; and his grandparents, Earl, Opal Howell, Ray and Lorene Murphree.
He is survived by: his children, Will Howell of Bruce, Lilly Howell and Lylla Howell of Bruce; and his brother Bom Blackwelder (Anita) of Bruce.
