He was predeceased by: his daughters, Ola Mae Holder and Rita Sue Holder Twitty; his son-in-law Randy Twitty; his sons, Edward Tulon "Eddie" Holder and Gary Keith Holder; and his brothers, Horace "Buddy" Holder, Dwaine Holder and Marshal Holder.

He is survived by: his wife Maxine Engle Holder; his children, Ronnie Holder (Anne Twitty Holder) and Marsha Holder; his daughters-in-law, Annette Maness Holder and Dorthy Taylor Holder; and his grandchildren, Daniel Holder, Scott Twitty, Ronald Lambert, Shane Green, Tom Napier, Brandon Burcham, Kelvin Hammock, Josh Beckham, Ben Barnett, Rob Tyler, Cindy Lambert, Beth Tyler, Sarah Hammock, Jessica Thornton, Stephanie Beckham, Teesha Burcham, Felisha Green, Allison Napier and Natalie Barnett. He is also survived by nine granddaughters, two grandsons, and 26 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
