He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, David Roy and Lurline Ryan West; his wife Rebecca Millsaps West; his daughters, Stephanie West Williford and Elizabeth West Upchurch; his sons-in-law, Joey Williford and Will Upchurch; his grandchildren, Abigail Williford Aldridge (Brad), Joseph West Williford, Isabel Grace Williford and James David Upchurch; and his nephew Ray Millsaps. He was also cherished by many cousins and dear friends.

David and his family would be honored by memorials to the church or charity of choice.
