He was predeceased by: his parents, Hal F. Atkinson, Sr. and Margaret McCormick Atkinson; his son Ronnie Atkinson; his wife Norma Atkinson; and his brothers, George, Hal, Jr. and Sam.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sherrie Edwards (Randy) and Kitty Poole; his sister Peggy Rower; his grandchildren, Mandy, Michelle, Audry, Luke, Keith, Cole and Devin; and his close friends, Matthew Dykes and Matt Thomas.
