He is survived by: his wife Johnnie Faye Shumpert; his sons, Jay Shumpert (Tammy) of Carolina Community, Chad Shumpert of Carolina Community and Corey Shumpert of Carolina Community; and his stepgrandchildren, Joshua Tiner and MaKayla Weston Duncan (Isaac).
