He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Thomas and Ovie Mae Lewis Knight; his siblings, Mary Vaughan and Etness Knight; and his grandson James Swindle.
He is survived by: his wife Marsha Knight; his children, Jason Knight (Tracy) of Smithville, Heather Kennedy (Marty) of Amory, Stacey Swindle (Jimmy) of Horn Lake and Margot Hegg of Seneca, SC; his sisters, Martha Fowlkes (Robert Earl), Mavis Towery, Margaret Hall, Melissa Terry and Lynn Capps (Earl); his brother-in-law Robert Vaughan; his grandchildren, Neil, Blane Knight, Dylan, Montana, Evan Parker, Alyssa, Zoey Swindle and Hannah Hegg; and his close friend James Files. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
