It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Smothers of Aberdeen, Mississippi, who passed away on December 29, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Smothers and Pat Walters Smothers; his daughter Kimberly Smothers Gurley; and his granddaughter Jessica Nicole Gurley. He is survived by: his wife Ann Dunn Smothers; his grandchildren, Caitlin Gurley of Hamilton and Christopher Gurley (Miranda) of Tupelo; his siblings, Donna Smothers Scarborough (Brent) of Phoenix and Larry Smothers (Deborah) of West Point; his nieces, Mia Vick, Lori Davis and Brittany Ingversen; his nephew Kirk Smothers; his friends, Buford Easter and Alton Sandlin; and his pet Sophie.
Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church in Aberdeen or your favorite charity.
