He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Sr. Henke and Catherine Kloppenburg Henke; and his son Kenneth. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann; his children, Reverend Donald Henke, Gary Henke (Andrea), James Henke (Brigid) and Karen Nicholl (Peter); and his grandchildren, Mikaela, Abigail, Jack, Emma, Joseph, Maggie, Luke, Grace, Peter, Andrew, Sean, Danny and Mary Kate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Edward's name to Immaculate Conception Church - Old Monroe, The Vincent DePaul Society of Immacualte Concaption, Old Monroe.
