She was predeceased by: her parents, Lynn Slaybaugh and Ella Slaybaugh (Crist); her son Stephen Eugene; her husband Leonard B Wells; and her grandsons, Jeffery Bill, John Arthur and Joseph Eugene.

She is survived by: her children, Sharon Sterling (Tom), Shirley Hampton (Marty), Sheryl Garcia, Sheila Briley (Doyle) and Billy Wells (Barbara). She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, and sixteen great great grandchildren.
