He was predeceased by: his parents, W. G. Marcum and Dorothy Marcum. He is survived by: his wife Becky Marcum of Carthage; his brother Tim Marcum (Kim) of Carthage; his nieces, Crystal Emory of Asbury and Amy Buckner of Joplin; his nephew Timothy Marcum (Aubrey) of Joplin; and his in-laws, Robin Jennings (Randy), Jona Kresyman (Mike), Tom Ogle (Lisa), John Ogle (Tina) and Jason Ogle. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other members of the family.
