He is survived by: his children, J. D. Haines III (Gina) of New Haven and Kim Ritter (Steve) of Washington; his grandchildren, Beth Vedder (Ryan), Alex Haines (Nidia), Leah Haines (Justin Schroeder), Michael Ritter, Emma Ritter and Jonathan Ritter; and his great grandchildren, Milla Vedder, Ewan Vedder, Jackson Schroeder, Zander Haines of Travis Schroeder, J. D and Riley Schroeder. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
