He was predeceased by: his parents, James B. Parsons Jr. (Ruth) and Ruth Parsons; his sons, James B. Parsons IV, Donald L. Parsons and Richard M. Parsons; and his sisters, June Harvey and Marion Bailey.
He is survived by: his wife Kitty Parsons of Washington; his daughter Christina S. Rose (Tom) of St. Clair; his grandchildren, Erika Haydon (Andrew), Daniel L. Parsons, James B. Parsons V and Nathaniel A. Parsons; his great grandchildren, Kayleigh and Sadie Haydon; and his sisters, Shirley Richter (Don) of Union and Joyce Cotner of O'Fallon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
