He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Gumpenberger and Edna; his wife Rose Mary Gumpenberger; his son Donald Gumpenberger; his brother Donald L. Gumpenberger; his sons-in-law, John W. Elbert and Daniel L. Bailey; his grandsons, Kevin Bailey and Daniel E. Bailey; and his great grandchild Kyle Elbert.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne Gumpenberger of Washington, Joyce Holmes (Robert) of Washington, Karen Elbert of Washington and Diane Bailey of Union; his sister Loretta Weber of Washington; and his grandchildren, Scott Roetemeyer (Lynn), Corey Elbert (Megan), Craig Elbert (Jennifer), Cindy Irwin (Brandon), Shannon Carr (Rich), Joshua Gumpenberger (Sammy), Tim Gumpenberger (Jill), Chris Gumpenberger and Shane Gumpenberger. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
