He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Earl and Ethel Claire Shelley (Hudson); and his children, Sabrina Shelley, Shawna Westover and Michael Shelley of Louisville.

He is survived by: his wife Lorraine. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
