She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Crail and Virginia Arnold Crail; and her brother Bill Crail. She is survived by: her husband Richard "Dick" Sanford; her sons, Rick (Megan) of Overland Park and Davison (Amanda) of Raytown; her granddaughters, Addie, Libby and Raimee; and her siblings, Kathy Werner of Charlotte and Jesse Auld (Peggy) of Kansas City. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
