He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lillian Canfield (Seymour) and Chester Canfield; his sister Jewell Smiley; his brothers-in-law, Charlie Brough and Jerry Hurla; his nephew Doug Brough; his pets, Lady, Daisy, Buttermilk and Jack; his granddaughters, Reagan Hathaway, Jayme Fletcher and Maddy Fletcher; and his sister Doris Hurla. He was also cherished by four dogs, the last being his constant companion.
