He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clarence B. Compton and Cozette Ledbetter Compton Schurr; his stepfather Marvin E. Schurr; his former wife Ruth Ellen Martin; his wife Audrey; his children, Michael Compton of Orrick, MO and LeeRonda Smith (Micah); his grandchildren, Lyndi Smith and Nathan Smith (Megan) of Poplar Bluff, MO.; his sisters, Carol Mason (Gerald) of Scottsdale, AZ, Sharon Compton of Atlanta, GA and Bonnie Monary (Walter Clementi) of Azusa, CA; and his sister-in-law Corrine Headrick of Corydon, IN. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
