He was predeceased by: his wife Judith L. Young; his parents, Gale A. Young, Sr. and Ona May Simmons; and his siblings, Larry Young, Jack Young, George Young and Ann Bailey.
He is survived by: his children, Gale A. Young III, Michelle Young of Stover and Toby Young of Watford City; and his sister Phyllis Ann Benedict of Wheatland. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
