With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John L Young Jr. of Union, Missouri, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John left this world on February 25, 2025 at the age of 73, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He is survived by: his wife Mary Young; his stepchildren, Kenny Hofer (Daisy) of Las Vegas, NV and Megan Truitt (Billy) of Festus, MO; his stepgrandchildren, Patrick Hofer, Nathaniel Pope and Lukas Truitt; and his siblings, Sadie Mosher, Joyce Young, Cindy Portell, Ron Young, Harvey Young and Gordon "Jiggers" Young. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oltmann Funeral Home (103 N Church St, Union, MO 63084).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Young family (checks payable to Mary Young).
