He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Grant Lavy and Thelma Lavy (Hammer); his children, Theresa Potestio of Troy and Mike (Cherie Lavy) of Troy; his sister-in-law Wanda (Jim McCardie) of Troy; his grandchildren, Shonna Thate (Jim), Brad Lavy (Sarah), Shane Locklin (Kate), Neil Lavy (Amber), Jason Locklin, Tim Lavy (Amy), Josh Lavy (Chrissie) and Marla Jones (Caleb); his great grandchildren, Kacey Thate, Ashley Nedved (Aaron), Ryan Thate, Brooklyn Lavy, Molly Archibald, Jillian Archibald, Grace Locklin, William Locklin, Meagan Moore (Logan), Jonathan Lavy, Cayden Lavy, Mason Lavy, Samantha Lavy, Marissa Lavy, Sadie Jones and Eli Jones; his wife Jeannie Lavy; his son Mark Lavy; and his son-in-law Bob Potestio.
