He is survived by: his children, Buck Don Schmitz (Jim Logan), Joseph Schmitz (Kelli) and Lynette Mero; his grandchildren, Ashley Schmitz, Nicholas Mero, Alex Mero, Nathan Mero, Ryan Schmitz and Kyle Schmitz; and his sister Betty Magnusson (Art). He is also survived by other relatives; and countless friends.
