She was predeceased by: her husband Charles D. Shertz; her brothers, Edward, Ben and John Corning; and her grandson Lucas Shertz.
She is survived by: her parents, J. T. Corning and Adelia Corning (Chaves); her children, Lorrie Whitener of Jefferson City, Eric Shertz of Tebbetts and Craig Shertz (Tina) of West Plains; her grandchildren, Cale Shertz, Stacey Shertz and Olivia Shertz; and her siblings, Terrell Corning of Springfield, David Corning of Conway, Cecil Corning of Morrilton and Carol Pennebaker of Clinton.
