She was predeceased by: her parents, James Shackelford and Carolyn Meisenhelder; her husband Lowell Bergeson (Jim); her son Jeffery Allen Bergeson; and her siblings, Jim Shackelford and Beverly Estell.

She is survived by: her daughters, Annette (Burkhart) of Sunrise Beach and Lisa Bergeson of Columbia, Missouri; her grandchildren, James Emery, Melanie Emery and Amanda Emery (Teeters); and her sister Joyce Nicholson. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
