She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Alfred "Alf" and Lula Mable Burks (Payne); her husband William "Turner" Mattison; and her brothers, Harry, Thurlo, Earl, Ralph, Raymond, Thurman, Jim and Jackie Burks.
She is survived by: her child Shirley Ann Brooks (Mattison); her adoptive daughters, Naomi Carr, Debbie Mattison and Judy Hughes; her sisters, Dorothy, Eva Burks, Reba Leigh, Irene Mattison and Ruth Hightower; her sons, Fred Mattison (Sandra) and Jack Mattison; her siblings, Alvin, Wilbur Burks, Bonnie Carter, Erma Cassidy and Linda Sue Rose; her grandchildren, Mike Wallace, Kevin Brooks (Jennifer), Brad Brooks (Tamrin), William "Rocky" Mattison, Ashley Mattison, Crystal Rutledge (Jason), Amber Martin (Marcus) and Adam Mattison; and her great grandchildren, Tessa Starbeck, Jacob, Anna, Jada, Trafton Brooks, Ashton Brawley, Kaden Roberts, Zane, Kyah, Ravyn Rutledge, Braden, Blake Wallace, Mya, Alijah, Josian and Maleah Martin. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Donations to the Summersville Senior Center or the Arroll Cemetery may be made in Iva's memory and left at the funeral home.
