He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Pierce and Trieva Pierce (Southers); his wife Joan Bird Pierce; his daughter Susan Pierce; and his brothers, Donald, John and Ronnie.
He is survived by: his brothers, Gene and Billy Pierce; his children, David Pierce, Donny (Becky Pierce) and Sandra Mattison (Fred); his grandchildren, Crystal Rutledge (Jason), Korbin Peters, Krystina Long, Jonathan Courtney, Jesse Pierce, Abigail Pierce and Maggie Pierce; and his great grandchildren, Zane, Kyah, Ravyn Rutledge, Ashton Brawley and Kaden Roberts.
