He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Garms and Essie Gates Garms; his brothers, Fred Garms (Hattie), Raymond Garms, Earl Garms and Larry Garms; and his siblings-in-law, Darlene Cape, Naomi Boll (Walter), Jim Hewkin, Homer Hewkin (Leora), Lenny Hewkin (Carol), Buster Hewkin (Vera), Donald Hewkin (June) and Rodney Hewkin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lavona Jordan (Rick) of Creve Coeur, MO and Vicki Adams (Rick) of Sullivan, MO; his grandchildren, Eric Jordan (Sharon Menashe), Rick Jordan, Jr., Rachelle Appleberry (Rob), Christopher Jordan and Richard Aaron Adams (Jamie); his great grandchildren, Richard J. Jordan, R. J. Appleberry, Ashley Appleberry, Robby Appleberry and Aaron Geoffrey Adams; and his siblings-in-law, Ruthie Garms of Steelville, MO, Georgia Garms of Steelville, MO, Joyce Garms of Steelville, MO, Coleen Woolbright (Glen) of Manchester, MO, Marilyn Hewkin of Cuba, MO and Jim Cape of Cuba, MO. He is also survived by other relatives; and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Missouri Veterans Home of St. James, MO or the Alzheimers Association c/o of the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home.
